Overview

Everyone's recovery journey is different. For people living with mental health challenges, the path towards greater independence, wellbeing and community participation can sometimes feel overwhelming. Finding the right support, understanding available services and navigating complex systems can be difficult to do alone.

At MCCSC, we believe recovery begins with connection, understanding and hope. Through our network of trusted NDIS and community service partners, we help individuals access Psychosocial Recovery Coaching and other supports that empower them to build confidence, strengthen resilience and work towards their personal goals.

How this works: MCCSC connects individuals to Psychosocial Recovery Coaching delivered by trusted, registered NDIS partners. We help you understand your options, make referrals and support you to engage with services — the coaching itself is provided by our partner organisations.

Supporting your recovery journey

Recovery looks different for every person. For some, it may mean reconnecting with family and community. For others, it may involve developing independence, building confidence, exploring education or employment opportunities, or strengthening wellbeing and daily routines.

MCCSC works alongside participants to understand their goals, identify support needs and connect them with appropriate services that align with their individual recovery journey. Our focus is always on the person, their strengths and their aspirations.

Accessing Psychosocial Recovery Coaching

Through our partnerships with experienced NDIS providers and mental health support organisations, we help participants access Psychosocial Recovery Coaching services designed to support recovery, independence and social participation. Recovery Coaches can assist participants to:

  • Develop and work towards personal recovery goals
  • Build confidence and self-determination
  • Strengthen decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Navigate the NDIS and available supports
  • Build stronger support networks
  • Connect with community activities and services
  • Improve social participation and community engagement
  • Explore pathways to education, training and employment
  • Develop strategies that support long-term wellbeing

Connecting you with trusted NDIS partners

Finding the right provider is an important part of achieving positive outcomes. MCCSC collaborates with trusted NDIS partners who share our commitment to person-centred, culturally responsive and recovery-focused support. Our role is to:

  • Help participants understand available supports
  • Connect individuals with appropriate NDIS providers
  • Support engagement with services
  • Facilitate referrals and introductions
  • Advocate for participant needs where appropriate
  • Encourage coordinated and holistic support

We believe that strong partnerships create stronger outcomes for individuals, families and communities.

A holistic approach to recovery

Recovery is about more than services — it is about building a life that feels meaningful, connected and fulfilling. Through MCCSC's broader community programs, participants may also benefit from opportunities that support community participation, social connection, employment pathways, education and skills development, family and carer support, cultural engagement and inclusion, and leadership and community involvement.

By connecting people to both professional supports and community opportunities, we help create pathways towards greater independence and wellbeing.

Supporting multicultural communities

People from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds may face additional barriers when seeking support. MCCSC provides culturally responsive assistance that respects the importance of culture, language, family and community in the recovery process. We work to ensure participants feel understood, respected and connected to supports that reflect their individual needs and circumstances.

Building hope, connection and possibility

Recovery is a journey, not a destination. With the right support, people can build confidence, strengthen relationships, reconnect with their communities and work towards the future they want to create.

Because every person deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, purpose and hope.

Who this is for

People living with mental health challenges who want support to build recovery goals, independence and community participation — including those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Our approach

Person-centred, recovery-focused and culturally responsive — connecting you to the right professional supports and community opportunities.
