Settlement Support
Helping you build a new life in Australia
Overview
Starting life in a new country can be exciting, but it can also be overwhelming. From understanding everyday systems to finding employment, housing, education and community connections, settling into a new environment often comes with many challenges.
At MCCSC, we are committed to helping migrants, new arrivals, international students and culturally diverse communities build confidence, independence and a sense of belonging in Australia. Our Settlement Support Program provides practical guidance, trusted information and personalised support to help individuals and families successfully navigate life in their new community.
You don't have to do it alone — we are here to help.

Education & training pathways
Guidance on education and training opportunities for adults, young people and families, helping individuals access pathways that support personal and professional growth.
Health & wellbeing support
We help community members connect with health, wellbeing and support services that contribute to positive settlement outcomes and overall quality of life.
Family & social inclusion
Building strong social connections is essential for successful settlement. We encourage participation in community activities, cultural events and programs that foster belonging and engagement.
Supporting skilled migrants and professionals
Many migrants arrive in Australia with valuable qualifications, professional experience and expertise gained overseas. However, navigating local requirements and employment systems can often be challenging. MCCSC supports skilled migrants by helping them:
- Understand Australian workplace expectations
- Explore pathways into their area of expertise
- Connect with professional networks
- Identify training and upskilling opportunities
- Develop career and employment plans
- Access industry-specific guidance and referrals
We believe people should be empowered to build on their existing strengths, skills and experience — not start over.
Building confidence, independence and belonging
Successful settlement is about more than accessing services. It is about feeling connected, informed and empowered to participate fully in community life. Our approach focuses on helping individuals and families:
- Build confidence in navigating Australian systems
- Develop meaningful community connections
- Access opportunities for education and employment
- Strengthen social and economic participation
- Achieve greater independence and wellbeing
