Overview

Women play a vital role in our families, workplaces and communities — as caregivers, leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, advocates and community builders. Yet many women face challenges that can affect their wellbeing, confidence, safety and opportunities to participate fully in community life.

At MCCSC, we are committed to creating safe, inclusive and supportive spaces where women can access information, build connections, develop skills and achieve their personal, social and professional goals. Whether you are seeking support, looking to connect with others, exploring education or employment opportunities, or navigating a difficult life situation, our Women's Support Program is here to walk alongside you.

When women are supported, families grow stronger, communities become more resilient and futures become brighter.

A safe space for women

Every woman's journey is unique. Some women are building a new life in Australia. Some are balancing family responsibilities and career aspirations. Some are seeking confidence, connection and community. Others may be facing challenges that require support, guidance and understanding. At MCCSC, we provide a welcoming environment where women can feel heard, respected and empowered.

Supporting women's wellbeing

Our programs are designed to support the overall wellbeing of women by creating opportunities for:

  • Social connection and community participation
  • Personal development and confidence building
  • Education and skills development
  • Leadership and community engagement
  • Health and wellbeing awareness
  • Employment and career pathways
  • Family and parenting support

We believe every woman deserves the opportunity to thrive and reach her full potential.

Domestic and family violence support

No woman should have to live in fear. Domestic and family violence can affect women from all backgrounds, cultures and communities, and can have a significant impact on safety, wellbeing, confidence and independence. MCCSC provides a safe and compassionate environment where women can access information, guidance and referrals to appropriate specialist support services.

Seeking support is not a sign of weakness. It is a courageous step towards safety, healing and hope.

Building confidence and independence

Empowerment begins with opportunity. MCCSC supports women to develop the confidence, skills and networks needed to achieve greater independence and participation in community life. Opportunities may include:

  • Leadership development
  • Community engagement activities
  • Employment and career pathways
  • Skills development workshops
  • Digital literacy and technology training
  • Networking and mentoring opportunities
  • Volunteer and community participation programs

Supporting multicultural women

Women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds may experience unique challenges when accessing services, employment opportunities and community supports. MCCSC provides culturally responsive programs that recognise the importance of culture, family, identity and community. We work to ensure women feel welcomed, respected and supported regardless of their background or circumstances.

Connection, community and belonging

Strong connections create strong communities. Through our programs and partnerships, women have opportunities to build friendships, share experiences, support one another and become active participants in community life. We believe every woman deserves to feel connected, valued and empowered.

Our vision

We envision a community where women are safe, respected, empowered and supported to achieve their goals. By investing in women, we help create stronger families, healthier communities and a more inclusive society for everyone.

Because when women succeed, communities thrive.

Who this is for

Women seeking support, connection, education or employment opportunities, or guidance during a difficult time — including women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and those affected by domestic or family violence.

Our approach

Safe, confidential, culturally responsive and centred on each woman's safety, wellbeing and goals.
